From our recent exploration, we caught up on a heartfelt person selling Idli Wada, who is more than Idli Wada.

For the past 11 years, there has been a delightful presence in the streets of Kalupur. A South Indian uncle, with his Luna, has been serving up the most delicious idli wada. This kaka serves more than 1500 idlis a day, becoming a go-to snack place for people near Kalupur Railway Station.


With a friendly smile on his face, he greets each customer with warmth and genuine care. But what sets this apart is not just his delectable food, but also his understanding of the local behavior. He has seamlessly blended his own roots with his vibrant spirit, creating a unique experience for all who visit him.

In the morning, starting from 8:30 am to 10 am and reopening the stall in the evening from 3:15 pm to 7:30 pm, Raja Bhai with his luna & freshly made idli wada stands near BBC Market.

In Gujarat, where food is not just a necessity but a way of life. He has learned the art of hospitality, ensuring that every customer feels like a cherished guest.
